Hotel Room Pricing

I used to work at a Hampton Inn in Guntersville AL, I was actually a front desk Manager so I know alot of in and outs of the hotel business. During the summer you can expect rooms at this hotel to be up to $149.00 plus tax a night. That sounds a little ridiculous right? Well because this hotel has a "lake view" (which is really only on one side of the hotel and on one corner of the building) the general manager marks the rooms up higher during the summer and holidays in the summer. In the winter the rooms go down a significant amount like $98.00 plus tax, sometimes $89.00 plus tax! Major difference in when you decide to travel. During the summer Guntersville gets a lot of tourism for fishing, wake board competitions, etc. so the hotel marks their prices way up.
